What is a Writ of Seizure and Sale (Movable Property)?

If the judgement debtor is known to own any goods or movable assets in Singapore, you may apply to the court for a Writ of Seizure and Sale order. This authorises the Bailiff to seize and sell by auction these personal belongings of the debtor like computers, televisions, and furniture, to sell and satisfy your judgment debt.

For the Writ of Seizure to be used, you will need to know the location and address of the goods or movable assets. If you do not have this information, you must get your lawyer to submit an Examination of Judgment Debtor application to extract the required information from the debtor first.
