Protection from Harassment Act

POHA was enacted by the Singapore Government in 2014 to protect individuals from harassment, unlawful stalking, and false statements of fact. Under the POHA, the following (through words or behaviours) qualifies as offences:

  • Intentionally causing harassment, alarm, or distress

  • Fear or provocation of violence

  • Unlawful stalking
